Frequently Asked Questions

Is there free off street parking?

Yes, we provide free parking, one car per unit. Parking for additional vehicles may be available but is subject to availability.

Are there laundry facilities in every unit?
Yes, every unit has its own washing machine and dryer. Laundry powder is provided free of charge. There is also an outdoor clothesline if required. Hours of use for laundry facilities are restricted to 7am – 10pm.
What are your check in and check out times?

Check in is from 2pm – 8pm.Check out is by 10am. Earlier check in times may be available but are dependent upon availability. Later check in times may be available but prior arrangements are necessary. Late check outs may be available but are subject to availability and will be charged at an additional $50 per hour after 11am. As we are a small property we generally do not have the capacity to cater to check outs later than 11am.

Is your reception open 24 hours?

No, our reception is open from 8am – 8pm.

I am arriving on a late flight , is there any way I can check in after hours?

Yes, at the time of booking let us know and we can make arrangements to leave a key in the lock box by the office door and we will send you the access code.

I am departing early, what do I do with the key?

Please lock your room and leave the key in the dropbox by the office door.

Can I catch a bus close by?
Yes. There is a bus stop directly across the road which will take you into the Central City bus exchange. The return bus stop from the city is just 100 meters down the road.
Is there a visitor policy?
Visitors are permitted at the discretion of management and must leave when requested. Any visitors onsite must depart by 9.00pm. We reserve the right to charge as ‘extra persons’ any visitors on site after 9.00pm. Parties and large groups are not permitted.
Should I book direct?
Yes! You are guaranteed of the best deal when you book directly. When you book and stay local you keep 100% of what you pay in NZ!
Are pets allowed?
No, no pets are allowed.
Are all rooms non-smoking?

Yes, all of our rooms are smoke-free. A cleaning fee of $200 will be charged for any breaches of this.

Do you have SKY TV?

Yes, we offer the SKY basic package plus SOHO and Sports.

Do you have air conditioning?

Yes all rooms have air conditioning. These are individually controlled in each room.

Can I walk to shops and restaurants?
Yes! Merivale shopping mall is only a 5-10 minute walk away. There are plenty of restaurant options within the area – Thai, Mexican, Italian, Indian, Gastropub and more. We are also only approximately a 20 minute walk into the center of the city.
